Annwyn Dean - Embroiderer, Book Artist and Printmaker
Annwyn Dean’s Blog…
When I retired from teaching and writing about embroidery I began to create Artists’ Books inspired by the antique textiles that I had collected during those years.
My textile work evolved into Collagraph printing on an etching press and I enjoy bringing the two techniques together.
I live in the NW of England, where I grew up and work in a studio in the garden overlooking the Yorkshire Dales.
I have books in major collections in the UK and USA.
The iconography that I use in my designs evolves from the embroidery fragments that are from my collection
