Annwyn Dean - Embroiderer, Book Artist and Printmaker
Annwyn Dean’s Blog…
I retired from teaching and writing about embroidery, but then I bought an etching press and got a new lease of life!
I live in the North West of England, where I grew up and feel that as I am having a new studio built, as I type, I have now become a proper artist!
This blog will cover my work, exhibitions and other embroidery and print making tales...
The iconography that I use in my designs evolves from the embroidery fragments that were made in India
Discover more about my work, the techniques I use, what inspires me and details of my exhibitions here.
Here are some examples of my latest embroidery, prints and artists books. Click here and have a look around.
Where can you find me next?
I exhibit my embroidery, handmade books and prints all around the country. You will find me next taking part in ‘Organics’ at a lovely gallery in Arundel and as part of Paperscissorsbook, a touring exhibition in the north of England. Also at the Abecedarian gallery in Denver USA.
