This is one of the books that I shall be taking to the Saltaire Makers Fair this coming weekend, May 27th, 28th and 29th

I took part in this busy and lively event last year and had a wonderful time, Saltaire Village is a World Heritage Site and comprises of the mil workers cottages, a huge mill, now filled with galleries and many Hockney paintings, churches, halls and allotments. As Saltaire is on the train line from both Leeds and Bradford it should be a busy Bank Holiday weekend.

The following two weekends I shall be opening my studio under the North Yorkshire Open Studio Event

If you are local then I do hope that you will be able to get to one or other, or both events

I have been away, hence the gap in writing – a lovely trip on a boat with 60 passengers visiting the gardens of the English Channel, Ireland, north and south, Wales and then onto the Scottish Islands.

All the gardens were lovely but here I am giving you miscellaneous group of images.

This is how we landed, see the small black boat in the foreground, it’s called Zodiac – a bit bouncy when there is a wind!!
